WHAT IS THE BRAINPACK™?

The BrainPack™ is a one-of-kind blend of Omega-3 DHA and Omega-3 ALA, and Choline, key nutrients that support brain development.

HOW MUCH OMEGA-3 DHA, ALA AND CHOLINE DOES EACH SERVING OF BRAINIAC™ KIDS CONTAIN? DOES ONE SERVING PROVIDE THE RECOMMENDED DAILY AMOUNT OF EACH NUTRIENT?

Each 4oz serving of Braniac™ Kids yogurt in either a cup or a drink has 130mg of Omega-3 DHA, 160mg of Omega-3 ALA and 120mg of choline. Each 4oz cup is like feeding your child 1 small salmon filet for Omega-3 DHA plus, 2 cups of brussels sprouts for Omega-3 ALA, plus 2 cups of broccoli for Choline. The World Health Organization recommends that kids and teens (between the ages of 4 and 14) get between 150 and 250mg of Omega-3 DHA/EPA daily. The U.S. National Academy of Medicine further recommends that kids and teens get between 900 and 1,600mg of Omega-3 ALA and between 200 and 375mg of Choline daily.

WHAT ARE THE SOURCES OF OMEGA-3 DHA, OMEGA-3 ALA AND CHOLINE IN THE PRODUCT?

Our Omega-3 DHA is made from algae. Fish get their high levels of DHA from eating algae, and our algae derived DHA is one of the richest sources of DHA on earth. It’s a non-GMO and vegetarian source, and is sustainably sourced in the USA. Our Omega-3 ALA is derived from Flaxseed, and is non-GMO and sustainably sourced in the USA. Our Choline is USP Verified, non-GMO and sustainably sourced in the USA.

WHY DO YOU ADD ANY SUGAR TO THIS PRODUCT?

We’ve added just enough natural cane sugar to ensure that kids love the taste – and parents can feel good about feeding it to their kids. Brainiac™ Kids Whole Milk Yogurts contain 40% less sugar than the leading kids’ yogurt brand. We are always working to balance a variety of nutritional goals and as part of this balance, we know that nutritious foods do not provide nutrition if kids don’t eat them.

DO BRAINIAC™ KIDS YOGURTS CONTAIN ANY ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS?

No, Brainiac™ Kids yogurts do not contain any artificial sweeteners.

I SEE MONK FRUIT ON THE INGREDIENT LIST, WHAT IS IT AND WHAT DO YOU USE IT FOR?

We have added a touch of monk fruit, a naturally sweet melon grown and enjoyed in Asia for centuries. Monk fruit is naturally much sweeter than sugar so a little helps us to reduce a lot of added sugar.

HOW MUCH PROTEIN IS IN THIS PRODUCT? WHAT IS THE SOURCE – AND HOW DOES THAT COMPARE TO OTHER YOGURTS?

Brainiac™ Kids Whole Milk Yogurt contains 6 grams of protein per 4 oz. serving which is 50% more protein than the leading kids’ yogurt brand. The protein comes from pasteurized cultured whole milk as well as from milk protein concentrate.

WHAT ACTIVE CULTURES ARE IN THIS PRODUCT?

Brainiac™ Kids Whole Milk Yogurt is made with 3 strains of non-GMO live and active probiotic cultures – including S.thermophilus, L.bulgaricus and L.lactis.

Brainiac™ Kids Whole Milk Yogurts do not contain any genetically modified ingredients – and have had this validated by the leading 3rd party, by becoming Non-GMO Project Verified. Brainiac™ Kids is non-GMO, free of artificial ingredients, gluten free, Kosher and is derived from milk from cows not treated with rBST.

WHY ARE OMEGA-3 DHA, OMEGA-3 ALA AND CHOLINE SO IMPORTANT FOR CHILDHOOD AND TEEN BRAIN DEVELOPMENT? WHAT DOES THE SCIENCE SAY?

There’s a broad and growing body of research that supports the cognitive benefits of Omega-3 fats and Choline in childhood brain development – including their impact on both learning and memory – throughout childhood and adolescence. That’s because Omega-3 DHA and ALA nourish the brain, helping neurons to grow and form new connections that promote cognitive functions. And Choline is a key component of acetylcholine – a critical neurotransmitter which helps the brain send signals throughout the body and also plays an important role in cognitive functions.
